I’ve been reading about how some people have used Facebook incredibly successfully and have made loads of money. Ok, so I’m a sceptic and I filter most of what they say through a strong ‘exagerato-rometer’. But it seems many people are very successful at making Facebook work for them. And this one place to start.
DON’T USE PEOPLE -
WHILE THEIR HELP
IS INVALUABLE IT MUST
NEVER BE A ONE WAY STREET
When you post on their wall don’t simply add a link to your book or website and bugger off, never to be seen again. Network, chat, LISTEN, see how you can help them. Pay it forward. Very often this is the best strategy.
Follow these important guidelines on making networking Facebook posts:
- Don’t market your book straight away
- Don’t be ‘salesy’ – too upbeat, gushy and over the top
- Offer really useful and valid info
- Keep it brief
